Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
The objective of this course is to teach participants participants how to use GDT (ASME Y14.5M-1994) to clearly communicate, interpret, analyze, manufacture and measure engineering design requirements. The course will give participants a working knowledge and understanding of how to utilize and take advantage of the benefits of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. The training utilizes an interactive approach by using, textbook and classroom exercises to give participants a "hands-on" approach to learning. Participants will be able to "see, hear and feel" knowledge gained from this course. Each section also utilizes pre- and post- exercises to monitor training progress and participant's knowledge base. Who Should Attend: Anyone having responsibility for any part of the manufacturing process will benefit from this course including: design, tooling, process, and manufacturing engineers, quality and inspection personnel, procurement personnel, team leaders and supervisors.
Participants will:
- Have the knowledge necessary to immediately put newly learned GDT skills to work and develop design requirements based on products intended end use.
- Save time and money on the design, manufacture and measurement of product.
- Be able to clearly define, communicate, and utilize design requirements.
- Improve communication between design, manufacturing and quality.
